Nishati Power Technologies (NPT) Completes Early Outpost™ Solar Generator 600 (OSG 600) Delivery to Support Marine Corps Distributed Operations

Outpost™ Solar Generator 600 kits now fielded across global Marine Corps locations under the Small Unit Power program.

GILBERT, Ariz., March 17, 2026 — Nishati Power Technologies (NPT), a leader in tactical hybrid power solutions, announced the successful delivery of Outpost™ Solar Generator 600 (OSG 600) systems to the U.S. Marine Corps. Final shipments were completed one month ahead of schedule and delivered to major Marine Corps operating locations around the world, where Marines are already integrating the systems into exercises and operations.

Known to Marines as the 600-Watt Solar Panel Kit under the Marine Corps Small Unit Power (SUP) Program of Record, the OSG 600 provides portable, expeditionary solar power designed specifically for small-unit operations.

“Over the past several years, we’ve seen a major evolution in sensing, communications, and unmanned systems across the force,” said Gerald (Lance) Volpp, Power Systems Project Manager, U.S. Marine Corps Systems Command. “Those systems only matter if you can power them. The 600-Watt Solar Panel Kit (OSG 600) gives Marines the flexibility to reliably sustain operations in distributed environments without being slowed down by heavy or unreliable equipment, while also reducing fuel demand and the logistical risk of resupplying forward units.”

The OSG 600 delivers more than 500 watts of 28V DC power through an integrated NATO slave receptacle, enabling efficient charging of 12V and 24V Lead-Acid / AGM and 24V Li-ion batteries such as the Li6T, now widely used across Department of Defense tactical vehicles and mobile power systems.

“At the small-unit level, power is always at a premium,” said Robert Charette, CEO of NPT. “In today’s contested environments, often inside an adversary’s Weapon Engagement Zone, losing power means losing the ability to communicate, sense, and defend yourself while every adversary has precision weapons. Our goal is to give units flexible, modular power they can rely on to stay connected and accomplish the mission.”

The OSG 600 complements NPT’s Outpost™ Hybrid Generator 2000-DC (OHG 2000-DC), which was recently selected by the U.S. Marine Corps as the Lightweight DC Generator (LDCG) under the Small Unit Power (SUP) program. With more than 600 hybrid generators scheduled for delivery, the systems, together, provide Marines with a modular hybrid power ecosystem, combining solar generation and lightweight hybrid generators to support modern distributed operations at the tactical edge.

Designed to operate independently or alongside the OHG 2000-DC, the OSG 600 integrates
NPT’s Expedition™ 600 solar array with racking, power electronics, and plug-and-play
connections into a single ruggedized case, enabling rapid deployment and reliable point-of-use
power at the tactical edge.
