Nishati Delivers State-of-the-Art Solar Generators to the U.S. Marine Corps
(Gilbert, AZ | 2/12/2025): In January, Nishati began delivering Outpost™ Solar Generator (OSG) 600 kits to U.S. Marine Corps operating forces. This system, known to Marines as the “600-Watt Solar Panel Kit,” is the “large” solar component to the Marine Corps’ Small Unit Power portfolio. The system incorporates Nishati’s latest portable solar array, the Expedition™ 600, which is rated at 615 watts and features new state-of-the-art materials, solar cells, and shading protection. OSG 600 employs a turn-key “all-in-one” concept that integrates solar panels, racking, power electronics and “plug and play” connections in a single case. This approach reduces components, speeds user employment, and maximizes electrical efficiency. The system can deliver over 500 watts of 28V DC power via the integrated NATO slave receptacle for charging 12V and 24V Lead-Acid / AGM and 24V Li-Ion batteries, such as the Li6T now being adopted across the Department of Defense (DoD) in tactical and utility vehicle, and mobile power programs. “Our mission at Nishati hasn’t changed since we started delivering Expedition™ 420 to the Marine Corps and other Federal customers back in early 2015: to improve warfighter mission effectiveness, reduce logistics vulnerabilities, and save lives through more efficient, reliable point-of-use mobile power solutions,” said Nishati CEO Robert Charette. “We are very proud and excited to continue this legacy by delivering the OSG and all our latest small unit mobile power products.”
Nishati will complete delivery of the initial OSG 600 kits to Marine Corps units over the next 12-15 months and provide sustainment thereafter.
